It’s the hard work our dedicated team put in every single day that makes our restaurant such a brilliant place for a relaxed bite to eat. Whether that’s our amazing kitchen team always grilling your steaks to perfection, our friendly serving team or our managers who’re always on hand to answer your questions, at the Warden you know you’re in the hands of a really experienced team that cares. We’re proud we have such a diverse team too, with experience ranging from a year to a staggering 30 years at our restaurant!
We run a fun quiz night every Monday and of course, a special Christmas DJ set over the festive period.
Our location
Back in the early 1900s the Warden was a coach house, a vital refuelling point on the crossroads to Bedfordshire for journeys far and wide. We may not look after as many horses anymore, but we’re still a place where everyone loves to come together.
We have a brilliant bar area with Freeview TV, including a spacious beer garden with a kids play area that’s perfect for hassle-free family meals. We have a private raised area at the main bar with space for events and parties. Our kitchen even has an open grill so you can see all the care and attention we put into cooking your food for yourself.

Why we love Luton
Luton is great for getting the best of town with amazing countryside views and walking trails nearby. At the Warden we’re perched in the middle – only a 10-minute drive from the centre of Luton and nearby Barton Hills Nature Reserve. We’re also close to fun places to visit like the Stockwood Discovery Centre Museum (free to get in!), Wardown Park and even ZSL Whipsnade Zoo – all fun options after enjoying a filling full English breakfast or a delicious steak with us.
Luton is also closeby to Milton Keynes, which have plenty of unique things to do if you’re visiting the area.
Because we’re right off the A6, we’re in a really convenient spot for getting around Bedfordshire. We’re a great spot for a rest if you’re on the way to Bedford, Milton Keynes, Cambridge or London.

What is the most popular pub meal at the Warden Beefeater?
You can always count on a Beefeater restaurant for the tastiest steaks. Our 8oz fillet steak is one of our most popular and most tender cuts. Like all our steaks, it’s aged for a minimum of 30 days, grilled to perfection, packed with flavour and served with chunky triple cooked chips, crispy flat mushroom, juicy grilled tomatoes and peppercorn sauce. Our classic mixed grill is also a real treat, a 4oz lean rump steak, succulent chicken breast, 5oz gammon steak and pork sausages, served with all of the above.

We serve the best Sunday lunch in town at the Warden Beefeater. With our Sunday roasts you can choose from our specialty roast sirloin of beef, rump of lamb, half-roast chicken or butternut squash & ale pie, served with all the trimmings and our signature red wine gravy. You also get unlimited roast potatoes and other delicious extras.
