With stunning promenade views and great food in a modern setting, at Whitley Bay Beefeater we’re the number one spot for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner in Whitley Bay. Whether you’re looking for a light bite, perfectly cooked steak, a drink in our sea view beer garden or you’re celebrating a very special day, you’re in the right place. We’re also just a five-minute stroll from the sandy shores of Whitley Bay Beach.
Most of our team have been with us since we opened in 2017. We’re very lucky that they take so much pride in their work and make looking after our guests their number one priority. We have a great mix in our team, and it really feels like we’re one big family – we do our best to look after each other as well as we look after our guests.
We used to be very active in local community projects and charity drives, we’re looking forward to getting back into the swing of things when restrictions lift a bit more.
We’re in one of the best spots in Whitley Bay, perched right on the promenade with sea views and easy access to Whitley Bay Beach. Our restaurant has brilliant outdoor seating, a big beer garden, bar area and a pay and display car park.
Why we love Whitley Bay
Whitley Bay is a historic seaside town and the perfect spot for a family outing, with arcades, a skate park, mini golf and amazing walks. The famous Spanish City leisure centre is close by too! The golden sand of Whitley Bay Beach is just right for building sandcastles and for long, relaxing strolls.
Whitley Bay has been a favourite for seaside holidays in the northeast for generations and is particularly loved by holidaymakers in nearby Newcastle. After you’ve loaded up on a delicious meal with us, take a trip to St Mary’s Lighthouse, enjoy a fun day with the kids at the Lost World Adventure Park or take on a 45-minute coastal walk to Tynemouth and beautiful Longsands Beach.
Our kitchen manager, David Stewart, says people can’t get enough of our Surf and Turf grill combo. That’s a perfectly cooked 8oz sirloin steak, scallops, prawns and lightly dusted calamari served with mouth-watering triple-cooked chips. You can’t say finer than that on a trip to the seaside!
We serve delicious Sunday roasts with all the trimmings. Whether you go for the roast sirloin, lamb rump, fake & ale pie or the traditional half roast chicken, you’ll have crispy potatoes and soft yorkies soaked in our signature red wine gravy.
It’s got to be the Premier Inn Breakfast, which we serve at Whitley Bay Beefeater. An unlimited selection of the best of an English breakfast. That’s bacon, eggs cooked just how you like them, hash browns, black pudding, toast and plenty more with free tea and coffee.
Not yet. But we’ve got great outdoor seating with sea views – perfect for keeping the kids calm.
We definitely are. From our brilliant kid’s menu to how good our team are with children, we make family mealtimes at the seaside fun.
Book online for groups of 6 or less. For groups over 6 our restaurant is in line with all current restrictions. For specific numbers, please get in touch with us via email or over the phone.
Oh yes, we have lots of outdoor seating with promenade views of the sea. Nothing better than enjoying that fresh sea air while you have your dinner or a quick drink in our beer garden.
