Why we love Balsall Common, Coventry
Balsall Common is a scenic countryside village with beautiful views and easy links to bigger towns and cities nearby like Kenilworth, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwickshire. We’re only a 20-minute train ride away from brilliant things to do in Coventry and Birmingham City Centre – the perfect spot for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner before a day in the city. Plus, the Birmingham NEC and Birmingham International Airport are only a 10-minute drive away.
Closer to home, Kenilworth Castle is only a 10-minute drive away from us at the George In The Tree, along with Lavender Hall Park and the scenic 16th century Packwood House. Our little rural village has it all, and there’s no better spot to relax and refuel than with us at the George In The Tree Beefeater.
We’re steak specialists, so it’s no surprise that our top tier steaks are our most popular meal. Our 8oz fillet steak is one of our most tender cuts and, like all our steaks, it’s aged for a minimum of 30 days, grilled to perfection, packed with flavour and served with chunky triple cooked chips, crispy flat mushroom, juicy grilled tomatoes and peppercorn sauce.
We serve a proper Sunday lunch here at the George In The Tree. With our Sunday roasts you can choose from our specialty roast sirloin of beef, rump of lamb, half-roast chicken or butternut squash & ale pie, served with all the trimmings and our signature red wine gravy. You also get unlimited roast potatoes and other delicious extras.
It’s got to be the Premier Inn Breakfast, which we serve at the George In The Tree Beefeater. An unlimited selection of the best of an English breakfast. That’s bacon, eggs cooked just how you like them, hash browns, black pudding, toast and plenty more with free tea and coffee.
We’re totally family friendly – let us take the hassle out of your next meal. Ours kids’ menu is full of dishes your children will love, our team are great with kids, and we have a big outdoor space for kids to run around in. Best of all, up to two kids can eat breakfast for free when an adult orders a Premier Inn Breakfast!
